OH - Ultrasound Tech - Days (Job ID OOJ - 8293)

*3+ years experience

Must have one of these: ARDMS (AB) or ARDMS (OB)

Will only be performing general ultrasound exams, we do not want a vascular tech.

Shift: 5x8s either 7a-330p or 730a-4p just depends on what room we have them in that day. When covering the weekend it will be a 12 hour shift 7a-7p and the week day shifts leading up to and after will be 7hr shifts (example 7a-230p or 730a-3p); no call

Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and department protocols. Operate ultrasound equipment and select appropriate transducers, settings, and techniques to ensure optimal image quality. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the exam, taking a relevant medical history, and positioning them correctly. Recognize and document normal and abnormal sonographic findings. Collaborate with radiologists and physicians by providing preliminary impressions and ensuring timely delivery of images and reports. Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure details and technical data. Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of ultrasound equipment. Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and radiation safety protocols.  Participate in quality assurance programs and continuing education as required.  Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards. Organized, timely, and accurate completion of procedures relative to department standards. Utilize effective communication to ensure customer identification, education, safety, and satisfaction.  Communication and documentation of all variations from protocol. Interventions with patients/families of all age groups: neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
