Pagosa Springs Medical Center is looking for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) who has oncology subspecialty experience. The Nurse Practitioner’s or Physician Assistant duties will include management of Oncology and Infusion patients including examination, treatment, consultation, follow-up, referral, and ordering labs/imaging. The NP or PA will also participate in patient satisfaction programs, quality improvement initiatives and any organizational or departmental goals and objectives to assure safe, quality care.
*The Nurse Practitioner must have a minimum of two (2) years Oncology subspecialty experience, be certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), possess a DEA license and a Colorado license and hold a current AOCNP certification. Physician Assistants must be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and hold a current Physician Assistant–Certified (PA-C) credential; oncology-specific certification is preferred where applicable. The provider must possess an active DEA registration and an unrestricted Colorado license.
ABOUT: Outpatient oncology clinic
LICENSURE: If the candidate holds a compact license that allows them to practice in Colorado, we can consider them. If not, they would need to obtain eligibility through a compact license or pursue appropriate licensure for Colorado. In addition, the candidate will be required to obtain both an APN (Advanced Practice Nurse) and RXN (prescriptive authority) license in Colorado.
