Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently

Capture accurate images and ensure proper positioning of patients

Adjust settings and technical factors to optimize image quality

Greet, identify, and prepare patients for ultrasound procedures

Explain procedures clearly and address patient questions or concerns

Maintain patient comfort, privacy, and dignity throughout the exam

Follow HIPAA guidelines for protecting patient information

Review and evaluate ultrasound images for clarity and diagnostic value

Identify abnormalities and provide preliminary technical impressions (as permitted)

Collaborate with radiologists and physicians regarding findings

Assist with portable and emergency imaging as needed
