Medical Surgical Nurse (Job ID OOJ - 5964)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform assessments and monitor patient status throughout hospitalization

• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies

• Provide pre- and post-operative care and patient education

• Manage multiple patients and prioritize care efficiently

• Assist with wound care, chest tubes, drains, and various medical equipment

• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to implement care plans

• Delegate tasks appropriately to LPNs and CNAs

• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation

• Respond to emergencies and perform rapid assessments

• Promote patient safety and infection control best practices

• Support discharge planning and patient/family teaching

• Participate in shift handoffs and interdisciplinary rounds
