Job Title: Phlebotomist – Clinical Laboratory

Job Summary:

The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients for laboratory testing. They ensure proper labeling, handling, and transportation of specimens while maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients of all ages.

• Label and process specimens according to lab protocols.

• Ensure proper patient identification and maintain accurate documentation.

• Prepare specimens for transport to reference laboratories when required.

• Maintain cleanliness and sterility of work area and equipment.

• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.

• Provide excellent patient service and address patient concerns professionally.

• Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and report shortages.

• Adhere to all clinical and laboratory policies and procedures.
