Job Summary
A Contract position (Evening (12p-2030p) shift) is currently open for a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS / CLS) in Carbondale, IL. Essential responsibilities include: analyze human blood, body fluids, and tissue specimens using automated and manual lab methods, perform quality control checks, instrument calibrations, and troubleshooting on laboratory analyzers, and verify and report laboratory results accurately, alerting physicians promptly to critical test values, as well as coordinating effectively with interdisciplinary medical staff. Requirements include active professional licensure, applicable healthcare experience, and adherence to patient privacy and safety standards.
