Job Summary
We are currently hiring a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS / CLS) for an immediate Contract opening (Night (5x8) shift) in Arcata, CA. In this position, the professional will perform complex clinical laboratory diagnostic testing across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood banking to assist medical diagnoses. Primary responsibilities include: analyze human blood, body fluids, and tissue specimens using automated and manual lab methods, perform quality control checks, instrument calibrations, and troubleshooting on laboratory analyzers, and verify and report laboratory results accurately, alerting physicians promptly to critical test values. Candidates must possess valid credentials/licensure, relevant clinical background, and a strong commitment to quality patient care.
