Job Summary
Length
12 weeks
Can not do 10s but can drop the days/week to 4 (so 32 hours a week) if it's more appealing to the candidate. Call rotation would remain the same, and sometimes they would be on call on their day off.
Must have experience/skill set
Our RNs do pre/post and circulate. Our specialties are Endoscopy, general surgery, ortho, OB (including OB emergent procedures such as CS, suction D&C, Post partum hemorrhage control, etc), cataracts, ENT, dental (Dental and ENT are peds). The candidate must be independent in OB emergent procedures as listed previously to even be considered as that is what we are on call for (we will do on site training to our procedures/policy, but they need the knowledge).
Charting System
EPIC
I would consider four 8-hour shifts, but the call cannot be negotiated. I would need them on call for a 1 in 4 rotation (1 night/week, every 4th weekend and every 4th holiday), even if that call shift falls on their scheduled day off. I try to not schedule them off on their call shift, but there are weeks where the schedule does not allow for that based on the blocked surgery schedule (I hope that makes sense). The scheduled day off will fluctuate based on the block schedule as well.
Must work New Years Eve. We are open on normal hours on NYE, but we include NYE in our holiday call rotation in the surgery department.
40 hours/week. Typical shift is 7-330 with some earlier arrival times/later end times based on the surgery schedule. Scheduled shifts are "day shift" type of hours.
CSection, suction D&C, OB emergency related circulating experience is needed.
- OR RN - Pre/Post and Circulate. 8 hour day shift (typically 7-330, occasionally earlier or later shifts pending the surgery scheudle). 1 in 4 call rotation including holidays.
- ASAP start date
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS required. PALS is preferred but can do without. TNCC preferred
