Schedule Full-time
Shift- 6- 2:30 or 9-5:30 9 ON CALL
The facility has provided quality healthcare services since 1909. We give patient's access to trained physicians and advanced technology. Our 500+ bed hospital is one of the leading acute care facilities in the Salem area. We specialize in heart and vascular care—including the latest advanced technology available through our designated Heart Center—as well as orthopedics and spine care, services for mental and behavioral health and cancer care.

Job Functions
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to register and pre-register Obstetric patients and process patient information. *
- Uses computer proficiently. *
- Communicates effectively and professionally with internal and external customers. *
- Maintains integrity of physical environment and equipment. *
- Pursues opportunities to enhance personal and professional growth. *
- Scrubs C-sections and demonstrates knowledge of surgical instrumentation. *
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to perform infant testing and tasks as directed by
- the Registered Nurse.*
Qualifications & Requirements
MUST HAVE 1 YR MIN CV EXPERIENCE
MUST LIVE 30 MIN FROM FACILITY
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Basic computer knowledge required.
- Must have customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
- Previous surgical tech experience preferred.
- 1-2 years scrub or hospital experience preferred.
Education
- Successful completion of Surgical Tech Course is required or grandfathered in by the state.
Licensure
Must be registered with the State of VA
- BLS within 90 days of employment
- Surgical Technician license required
