Job Description

Location: Community Hospital – Grand Junction, Colorado

Hours; Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; Friday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM;No nights or weekends

Position Summary: Community Hospital is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist for a contract assignment in our Women’s Health Clinic. This role is responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures and supporting clinical and administrative functions related to women’s care in a patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures in accordance with provider orders and clinical standards
  • Ensure all equipment is powered on, calibrated, and fully operational prior to patient procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment, including:
    • Cleaning and disinfecting all equipment after each use (scanner, exam table, counters, consoles, workstations, etc.)
    • Stocking exam rooms with necessary supplies
  • Communicate ultrasound results to referring providers as directed
  • Manage timely follow-up for STAT results, call reports, and patients awaiting results
  • Accurately transfer images, patient information, and exam documentation to Virtual Radiology for after-hours cases
  • Support clinic workflow and provide excellent patient care and service

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of related ultrasound experience preferred

Certifications & Licensure

  • Registered with ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) in one or more of the following:
    • General
    • OB/GYN
    • Vascular
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
