Responsible for
screening, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning for patients in
inpatient, Long Term Care, Alzheimer’s, Home Health, and outpatient settings. Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment
team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Staff Occupational Therapist
is responsible for managing patient caseloads in all clinical settings from
screenings and evaluations through discharges. - Compliant with State and Federal Regulations.
- Active participant in Interdisciplinary Team
approach to patient care. - Provides the necessary billing documentation for
billing purposes. - Communicate effectively with physician, other members of
rehabilitation team and others as indicated regarding treatment plan and
patient response to plan. - Counsels patient and family according to degree of
disability or impairment. - Completes all required documentation thoroughly and
in a timely manner. - Participates in educational programs and in-service
meetings. - Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality
assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. - Attends meetings and in-service sessions, as directed. Requires regular
attendance and punctuality. Performs other duties as assigned.

Shift Information: Days with occasional Saturday.
