
The Echo/Ultrasound Technologist shall perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, general, abdominal/OB-Gyn, and vascular.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)
· Perform high quality echocardiograms and stress echos and general ultrasound including abdomen and OB/GYN and vascular studies in accordance with all policies and procedures.
· Competently set up and assist radiologist and pathologist during procedures.
· Working with the EMR’s to generate and complete exam orders.
· Perform, record, and analyze QC data in order to make judgments concerning the results and take appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision.
· Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by performing equipment checks, cleaning work area, and monitoring temperatures in accordance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies.
· Regular attendance, including clocking in and out at scheduled times and minimal unplanned time off.
· Maintain clinical competency and current professional knowledge, by completing in-house education and competencies, learning new protocols, and new equipment training.
· Responsible for contacting service personnel and notifying supervisors of malfunctioning equipment
· Transporting patients
· Knowledge of PACS systems, releasing/transmitting images.
· Inform appropriate personnel of department supply needs ensuring uninterrupted testing.
· Work well with other departments to improve patient and staff experiences.
· Recommend process improvements for increased efficiencies
· Display and promote company values
· Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
· Graduate from an accredited school of ultrasound
· RDCS registered, preferred or obtain after hire
· RVT registrations, preferred or obtain after hire
· RDMS(AB,OB-GYN) , preferred or obtain after hire
· BLS required, or obtain within 6 months of hire
